Waitrose

For 12 years, I led all operations and procurement for Waitrose Publications and Print. I initially managed a £9 million budget and achieved over £3 million in cost savings during that period. My focus was always on ensuring that our branded publications maintained the highest quality while offering competitive pricing. I introduced innovation and sustainability into every aspect of the print strategy I developed and implemented.

During my tenure, I successfully launched multiple monthly titles, including Waitrose Food, Health, Drinks, Entertaining, Garden, and Love Life, as well as books such as the Good Food Guide and children’s Christmas titles. I also oversaw the production of the weekly newspaper, Waitrose Weekend.

In my role, I managed the entire process for each title, from inception and format selection to paper choice, design, editorial, reprographics, printing, and final distribution to stores. I was also responsible for ensuring that we achieved the best possible value without compromising quality, balancing cost efficiency with the high production values our readers expected.

John Lewis

As the Print Procurement Specialist for John Lewis Partnership (JLP), I worked across the full suite of customer facing materials. I was responsible for managing own brand, supplier- funded, and pan-partnership titles for John Lewis across a large number of initiatives, including the notable John Lewis Christmas ad campaign.

I regularly conducted Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for paper, print, reprographics, and distribution services to ensure that all titles were produced to the highest quality and at the best possible value.

Avon

As the UK and EMEA Production Manager for all of Avon's catalogues, I led the teams responsible for creating and delivering the iconic brochure across these two key regions. I was solely accountable for the quality and timely delivery of all customer-facing brand materials

Foxtons

As the Head of Production at Foxtons, I managed all marketing materials for branch launches, our weekly magazine, and our high-end monthly titles, as well as all associated brands under the Foxtons umbrella, including print materials for our US division. The total annual spend, which I managed, exceeded £10 million. Additionally, I was part of the leadership team that developed the concept for the Foxtons minis that are now seen all over London.

Hubert Burda
Media UK

As the Production and Operations Director for Hubert Burda Media, I oversaw all operations related to the company's entry into the UK market. This included setting up and staffing our London office, as well as managing the print, design, and distribution of a wide range of newsstand titles launched for the UK market

News UK

As the Production Director for News UK, I was responsible for all production and operations within the newly established division, News Magazines. This involved producing titles for our rapidly growing newsstand and contract publishing division. I reported directly to the CEO and Managing Director while also overseeing the new product development team and managing all production budgets
